Case Study: Upper Denture Broken in 3 Pieces, Repaired in Our Stoneham Lab
This is one of the repairs featured in our Real Repair Results. An upper denture came into our Stoneham lab broken in three separate pieces. The photo below shows it as it arrived and after the repair.

What we saw
Multiple breaks are harder than a single clean split because every piece has to line up with every other piece at the same time. If one joint is slightly off, the error carries through the whole denture and changes how the teeth meet.
How it was repaired
Check the pieces. We confirmed the break edges were intact and that no large fragments were missing.
Line up and secure. The pieces were fitted together so every break met exactly, and held in position.
Rebuild the joints. The breaks were rebuilt with denture acrylic and reinforced where the base was thin.
Finish and polish. The repaired areas were trimmed and polished so the palate feels smooth, and the bite was checked.
What made this repair possible
All the pieces came in, and no glue had been used. That kept the original edges clean, which is what lets a technician put a denture back together accurately. If your denture breaks, those are the two most useful things you can do. Read Can You Glue a Broken Denture? for the reasons.
Is your denture broken in more than one place?
Bring every piece in, or send a photo first. Many repairs are finished the same day, but a denture in several pieces may need more time. How Long Is Denture Repair Turnaround Time? explains what affects timing, and When to Use Express Denture Repair Services covers urgent cases.
